Woo Pin Fish head noodle - Seri Kembangan

This Woo Pin fish head noodle stall is one of the stalls in Kedai Makanan dan Minuman Hing Fatt. Not too far from South City Plaza.

RM7.50. The deep fried shallot was a little stale and not crispy, nor very fragrant. The fish was just okay in term of freshness.

As usual, no milk, and non-fried fish.

The taste was just acceptable for me. Better than the Menjalara branch in my opinion.


About 830am on a Sunday morning and this place was already quite packed.

Paper wrapped chicken - Leong Ya

Paper wrapped chicken (chee pau gai) at Leong Ya restaurant, Balakong.

Chee bao gai, RM3 each. This was what it would look like once you unwrapped the paper.

The chicken was very tender but quite fat, and too flavorful, obviously from the use of MSG.

This was what the chicken would look like when served. Still unwrapped. We ordered 3 pieces.




We also ordered 8 pieces of yong tau fu. RM1.10 each I think.

I found the YTF really ordinary. Really nothing compared to this one.

We also ordered one stir fried choy sum. RM10(?)

Quite ordinary too. No wok hei.

The bill came to RM60.50 but that was including an additional ten pieces of take-away chee bao gai. My best guess for the dine in amount was RM30.50, including 3 bowls of rice and 2 glasses of Chinese Tea.

Chicken rice - Tim Kee Lama

Free range chicken but somehow not as lean as the one I get  here. But still very nice.


Oh you do get ginger sauce to go with your chicken too. Sweet!


Char Siew and Siew Yuk...so so only.


Nga choi (bean sprout), plump but not as plump and crunchy as those from Ipoh but still very very good!


From Bukit Mertajam..but i must admit I haven't heard of it before!
