Yut Kee Roti Babi
Revisited Yut Kee again and this time it's for the roti babi :)
Posting on previous visit to Yut Kee for pork roast is here.
This is how it looks like before you cut it open!
Also tried the chicken chop. It was just okay for me.
Lum Mee. Nice ingredient but the taste was just boring. I didn't like it at all. The simpler and cheaper Penang style Lum Mee is much nicer.
The menu:

Shark fin noodle Restoran Leong Yun
Waisekmeow told me how good this place is so I went and checked it out today.
Shark's fin noodle (Relax, it's imitation shark's fin :D)
Fried rice with prawns and crab meat, RM10...i stole some from Waisekmeow...it was really good!
A closer look at the shark's fin noodle I had, RM8
Claypot kangkong (water spinach), RM 8. Really nice, much better than the one I had in Kuala Selangor.
Other items on the menu
Edit:
Other dishes from a different visit:
Steamed tilapia. Nice and fresh although I wasn't too fond of the soy sauce which was a little on the sweet side. The fish was alive and swimming in an aquarium prior to serving. RM30. A little pricey. Check out this place in Sri Sinar for nice and cheap tilapia dish.
Location:
Jalan 6/37a, Taman Bukit Maluri,
Kepong, 52100, Kuala Lumpur

Seng Huat Bak Kut Teh
Yes, the famous Seng Huat Bak Kut Teh (Under the bridge) in Klang, but this is the branch in Kepong :).
Just a mixture of some lean cut, and innards, fragrant rice and a glass of hot Chinese tea.
The fragrant rice (油饭) was nice and not oily at all.
What's in it:
I asked for a mixture of lean meat....and some chu cheong (innards:D)
and some nice lean meat
I like the soup too. Just the right amount of herbs in it and not too overpowering.
Full size here.
Full size here.
Total cost: RM13.50 for a clay pot of BKT, a bowl of fragrant rice (yau fun 油饭) and a glass of hot Chinese tea.
Location:
No. 68, Jalan Metro Perdana Barat 3,
Taman Usahawan Kepong Utara

Yee Wen Tom Yam Thai Food
I have heard about this place many times but didn't get round to trying it until today. All the staff there are Thai but they do speak Mandarin!
No pork, no beef served in this restaurant.
Seabass steamed in lime and garlic...really tantalizing!!! Might be a little too sour for most people though!
Pandan chicken. Good too but I am rarely into fried food.
Stir fried belacan pucuk paku (fern shoots). Okay, but I really miss the type cooked with santan (coconut milk). Had it once in Ginger@Central Market.
The three dishes above, with one coke, one hot tea, and two plates of rice, came to RM62.90.
The Thai otak-otak looks great too but we didn't order that. We will next time!
Too bad they don't serve any Thai dessert :(

Seafood at Kuala Selangor
It is always fun to go to Kuala Selangor to see the Silvered Leaf Monkeys at Bukit Malawati, birds in Taman Alam and of course, enjoy some seafood before going for the firefly tour at night!
Deep fried squid
Fried mantis shrimps with salty egg yolk
Kangkong belacan (stir fried water spinach with shrimp paste)
Oyster Omelette, completely different from the wet version I am so used to in Penang. Sorry, but it really didn't taste good to me. I couldn't even tell there were oysters in it.
Fried yellow noodle

Hon Kee Porridge Petaling Street
Hon Kee Famous Porridge in Petaling Street, Kuala Lumpur.
Fish porridge. Raw fish fillet(Haruan / snakehead fish). You dump them into the hot porridge and the fillets will cook within a couple of minutes.
Ready for chow down:D Yummy!
Many other choices too!
We ordered this as well.
Edit:
Chu Chup Chuk from a recent visit:
It was nice but I personally still prefer this one from Penang New Lane:
Hon Kee has its own web page too!
You might also want to check out the other porridge outlet: Loa Yau Kee.
