I booked a studio room at Silverpark Resort via LivingSocial a couple of months ago. Although I paid only RM75 for this, the T&C were quite restrictive. You can get the same studio room for around RM110 if you book it on Agoda.
The walk-in prices you'll see at the reception:
What you see here is actually a 2 room apartment. I think the staff at the check-in counter gave me the wrong type :D
The living area, with a tiny tv. You can only get two channels here: tv1 and tv3, if I remember correctly.
The kitchen. There is a fridge.
Queen sized bed in bedroom 1. I forgot to take photos of bedroom 2.
You can see the disgusting stain on the wall! Yuck.
This is the attached bathroom with tub in the master bedroom. There is another smaller bathroom with no tub.
The water heater for shower in this bathroom works but not in the other bathroom.
The views. To me, this is the best thing about Silverpark! Good enough to make me forget about the lousy interior and facilities inside.
Silverpark as seen from near the clock tower
Edit:
2nd visit. This time, the staff at the reception gave me the right room: Studio unit.
I must say, the studio unit was in much better condition compared to the two room apartments.

Koon Kee wanton mee
Koon Kee wonton noodle stall in Petaling Street.
RM7.00 for this (medium) plate including a glass of hot Chinese tea. Assuming the tea was RM0.50, this plate of noodle was definitely much more expensive that most other places.
But it was very tasty though. Right from the al-dente noodles which were still springy and slightly chewy, to the slightly sweet but tender and flavorful char siew (BBQ pork). I quite like the lean and slightly chewy shreds of poached chicken too.
The wontons weren't bad either.
Tender, flavorful char siew, with a good balance of lean meat and fat!

Restaurant Vietnam Phuoc Loi - Kepong
This place is quite new. I noticed it only a few weeks ago and decided to give it a try.
All the staff were Vietnamese I think. The lady boss spoke to me in Mandarin. Naturally, I had high hope for this place and after looking through the menu, opted for this dish.
Rice noodle soup with duck meat and bamboo shoots.
RM8.00 including hot Jasmine tea. The sorry looking daun kesom really brought me back to reality. The soup was very sweet and obviously loaded with MSG. Although this was the only dish I have tried, I really doubt I would go back there again. I would rather go to this one if I feel like having some Vietnamese food.

Paradise Dynasty - Paradigm Mall
Post CNY lunch at Paradise Dynasty.
Prosperity Salmon Yu Sheng
Xiao Long Bao (original flavor). Subpar.
The xiao long bao's were definitely way inferior than those from the two big players in town. There was still juice inside but the crinkly top was hard and chewy.
I was planning to go try the colorful 8 flavors xiao long bao's but after this disappointment, I doubt that's going to happen.
Chilled assorted egg loaves. Lovely.
Yang Zhou style Chilled jellyfish and seafood in vinaigrette. The prawns were quite fresh.
Bamboo shoot and seafood soup. I added some vinegar in mine. Tasted good!
Hong Kong style steamed pomfret. My friend and I agreed that it wasn't very fresh.
Sauteed scallops with kailan. Love the stir fried egg white, very fragrant. The scallops were great too. I think this was my most favorite dish of all.
Crisp-fried duck. Slightly salty with sweet dipping sauce, to balance the taste I guessed. Nice but I still prefer the normal roasted duck.
Stir fried la mian with shredded black fungus and minced pork. Very good "wok hei" and flavorful!
Chilled aloe vera with Osmanthus in honey lemon juice. Very refreshing. Loved it. Wouldn't mind another bowl!
This set cost RM688++ (for 10 pax)

Nasi kukus ayam dara istimewa Tmn Melati
Nasi kukus ayam dara istimewa Taman Melati. Yes, another nasi kukus outlet in Taman Melati, just a stone's throw from the LRT station.
RM8 for this and a cup of hot milo kosong!
More expensive than the other place nearby, but the rice here was nicer, not hard and dry like the other place. However, the other place gave you a piece of deep fried salted fish.
I think I would rather go to the other place but only if they improve the quality of the cooked rice there.
The chili/sambal was a little on the sweet side.
Again, I was unlucky and got a piece of fried chicken which wasn't hot. However, while I was eating, I noticed the lady frying more chicken.
Apparently, this stall has a facebook page too.

Wong Ah Wah Grilled Chicken Wing
Wong Ah Wah grilled chicken wing must be the most famous one in Klang Valley. Since I was in town today, I stopped by on the way back to check out how good they were.
Wong Ah Wah grilled chicken wings. RM2.80 each. 3 pieces in this plate (RM8.40)
The grilled chicken wings were good, probably even slightly better than this one, but that was about it. The chili sauce was really quite flat and rather disappointing. Maybe it was because I was expecting something really exciting and tantalizing like the sauce from YHK.
There were two grilling stations. One inside.
and another one outside.
Besides chicken wings, there are many other stalls, and also "dai chao".
W.A.W Restaurant (Kedai Ayam Panggang Wong Ah Wah)

Jalan Alor (Off Jalan Bukit Bintang)
