Yut Kee Roti Babi

Revisited Yut Kee again and this time it's for the roti babi :)

Posting on previous visit to Yut Kee for pork roast is here.

This is how it looks like before you cut it open!

Also tried the chicken chop. It was just okay for me.

Lum Mee. Nice ingredient but the taste was just boring. I didn't like it at all. The simpler and cheaper Penang style Lum Mee is much nicer.

Yut Kee Pork Roast

Ever since I first saw a photo of Yut Kee's Pork Roast, I knew I had to try it. I went there for the first time early this year, but to my dismay, no pork roast until after CNY. Bummer. However, the pork chop I had wasn't bad either.

A different visit to the shop for the roti babi.

Pork roast :). Available only on Friday and Sunday.

Must go there early if you don't want to wait. If possible, before 12:15 pm.

The interior.

Pork roast, mmm mmm.

Lucky me, i got a slice of the crispy, crunchy outer layer. Munch, munch!

The toast and kaya was great too:

Edit:

From a recent visit August 24, 2012. Really dry and hard pork.

I highly recommend that you visit this shop to try its Italian pork roast, Porchetta.
