Loong Fong restaurant Tmn Sri Sinar

First visit:

Steamed tilapia fish with nyonya asam sauce. Love the sauce. The fish was great too with no muddy/earthy smell.

Sweet and sour pork (ku lo yuk). The pork was a little dry and hard but still good.

Update:

Dai Chow opens after 3 pm only. In the morning, you can get chee cheong fun, dim sum, kueh chap etc.

The kueh chap is very different from the one I had in Penang. I didn't like it at all.

Chai Kueh

I may be biased but i think the best Teochew chai kueh can only be found in Sungai Bakap :D

There are three authentic Jawi Chai Kueh outlets in Sungai Bakap:

#1 - the original one, opposite a roast duck/pork shop, near Jln Badak Mati/Jln Besar intersection. Also quite near the police station.

#2 - the newer one (relatively speaking), same row as Ambank

#3 - another newer one, somewhat opposite #2 and next to a roast duck/pork shop.

This one is from #2, the one in the same row as Ambank, near the older mosque.

There are two types. This type is with chives and dried shrimp filling

Another type with stir fried jicama and dried shrimp filling.

I like both!

There are other dim sum items as well, but most people go there just for the chai kueh!
