There are three authentic Jawi Chai Kueh outlets in Sungai Bakap:
#1 - the original one, opposite a roast duck/pork shop, near Jln Badak Mati/Jln Besar intersection. Also quite near the police station.
#2 - the newer one (relatively speaking), same row as Ambank
#3 - another newer one, somewhat opposite #2 and next to a roast duck/pork shop.
This one is from #2, the one in the same row as Ambank, near the older mosque.
Teochew chai kueh in Sungai Bakap

There are two types. This type is with chives and dried shrimp filling

Soft, thin, translucent skin that breaks quite easily when touched

Another type with stir fried jicama and dried shrimp filling.

I like both!

There are other dim sum items as well, but most people go there just for the chai kueh!
