Since I was alone, I only ordered the sambal petai, with prawns. This plate of sambal petai with four prawns, and one glass of hot herbal tea, cost only RM13.50. I think I will be going back there more often, even though the type of sambal petai isn't exactly the northern type I grew up eating.

Besides the four prawns, I also found lettuce in this plate. A little odd, but luckily, it didn't alter the taste at all so I didn't really mind.
This is the sambal petai I had in a different restaurant, but cost much more - about RM20 if i remember correctly. Closer to the northern version but still not quite. By the way that restaurant closed down already.
Sambal petai from a different restaurant.
