I walked past this cafe and the lush green ambiance and surrounding caught my eyes. It was slightly past 11am so I figured I might as well just go in for an early lunch and check this place out at the same time.
RM8.90 including teh o ais limau (iced lemon tea). A little on the pricey side. I didn't really enjoy the food. I rarely order cooked vegetables when I am in a Malay restaurant. I go for the ulam instead. When I asked the cook why there was no ulam, I was told that it would get too messy. (???). Of course, it didn't help that I got there too early, 11'ish and there weren't many items to choose from yet and I ended up with chicken.
The chicken pieces were quite dry and chewy. Not enjoyable at all.
What's cooking? The cook preparing the curry dishes by the woks!
These two photos were taken much later. Many more dishes were ready already!
I would have gone for the cat fish (ikan keli) instead of the chicken.
The first thing that caught my attention was the lush green ambiance of this lovely cafe. The whole cafe was under the canopy of a few big trees! I bet it won't be get too hot here even on a bright sunny day!
The food here isn't the cheapest nor the best. There are cheaper ones nearby, for example, this one in the wet market building not too far away, or my fave here. But this cafe is really nice, clean and even cosy!
